Creating a concept review

To set up an internal concept review process when an established one is not available:

  1. The researcher should identify three to five colleagues willing to serve on a review panel, including some with subject matter expertise.
  2. 60 to 90 minutes should be scheduled for the researcher and panel to meet.
  3. The researcher will prepare and deliver a brief presentation (15 to 20 minutes) on the project, including the background, aims for the project, and proposed research plan.
  4. The panel should be asked to provide feedback through an open discussion to identify areas for improvement, any unique strengths, any potential obstacles or resources to completing the project and any other suggestions to improve the planned project.
