RCR training for Duke medical students

Responsible conduct of research training for Doctor of Medicine students is administered by the Office of Curricular Affairs in the School of Medicine. A Canvas portal named “Compliance” is updated each year for all registered medical students. This is used to track completion of training accessed through the Collaborative Institution Training Initiative (CITI), which is an outside platform for accessing lots of institutional trainings. Duke has a few different organizational affiliations with CITI. The required courses are spread between the "Duke RCR" AND “Duke Health” institutions.

Five courses are required to complete this training requirement. Courses typically comprise multiple modules. In order to receive credit, you must achieve 80% or higher on each of the required module quizzes. You will have the opportunity to re-take the quizzes and review the material as many times as necessary to achieve 80% or higher. Duke University is not the primary author of the CITI modules and is not able to update the content on the CITI website.
