Change from Research Data Storage Plan (RDSP) to Duke Research Data Lifecycle (DRDL)

As of May 24th, for research projects submitted through the DUHS IRB, the Research Data Storage Plan (RDSP) process will be replaced by the Duke Research Data Lifecycle (DRDL) plan. The DRDL helps support study teams in storing, managing, and sharing their data in alignment with institutional and sponsor guidelines. The timing of the process, and its inclusion in the institutional approval process, remain unchanged. However, study teams may notice a couple of important changes:

  1. Some DRDLs will be automatically approved, presuming that the storage and management of the data are easily accommodated at Duke, and
  2. DRDLs will be required for exempt studies.

Resources and additional information about the DRDL can be found on this page in myRESEARCHpath.
